Guests who already booked
A week out we write to guests who already hold a room. Nobody new. Nobody off the street.
Inside the Room Type you already sold, some rooms are worth more. Guests will say so — if you ask. You keep control until the morning you’d assign anyway.
The giveaway
Every night they go to whoever checks in first, or whoever complains, or nobody in particular. Guests have been naming the rooms they would pay more for — after they leave, in public.
“We were put in a corner room on the sixth floor and woke up to the Charles. Would pay extra for that room again.” Google review · The Wilmot
“Ask for a high floor if you can — the difference is night and day.” Google review · The Wilmot
“Our room faced the river which made up for the slightly dated bathroom.” Google review · The Wilmot
How it works
A week out we write to guests who already hold a room. Nobody new. Nobody off the street.
They pick the nicer room and say what it is worth per night. Nobody sees anyone else’s number. Nothing is charged unless you say yes.
The morning you were going to assign rooms anyway, you look at the list and take the ones you want. We are collecting offers, not selling the room.
Why not the others
Your rooms stay yours until the morning you were going to assign them anyway. We collect offers. You decide.
The others sell a corner three weeks out and lock it from that moment. If a regular walks in, that is now your problem.
Four weeks, free.No PMS. Stop any morning by not taking a single offer.
